Printed Waterproof Map

Our printed waterproof recreation map of the Adirondack Rail Trail is great if you really want to explore the area by canoe/kayak, hiking, or cycling.  The Adirondack Rail Trail spans 34 miles connecting the villages of Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, and Tupper Lake, NY.  It is 18"x24", printed on two sides on a waterproof and tear-resistant plastic stock at a scale of 1 : 50:000.  This map appeals to cyclists, paddlers, walkers, and other recreationists and sells for $11.95.  Please stop in or call 518.637.2358 to purchase a map.  She can ship it to you.

The "Saranac Six" Mountain Hiking Challenge includes Mount Baker, St Regis Mountain, Scarface Mountain, Ampersand Mountain, Haystack Mountain, and McKenzie Mountain. In addition there are numerous hiking opportunities that connect with the rail trail.

Cycling

The 34 mile Rail Trail is a great trail to ride with beautiful mountain and lake scenery along the route. From the Rail Trail there are numerous places to cycle.  The Adirondack Rail Trail Map offers close up details of Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, Ray Brook, and Tupper Lake with amenities included.  There are numerous camping and lodging facilities.  Most of the trail adjoins parks lands including the Saranac Lakes wild Forest and the St Regis Canoe Wilderness.
